Sea Breezes of Time

by: Gilbert Stevenson (writer@coastalnet.com)

I am like a sailor cast adrift on the Sea of Time whose course is steered by Spirits in the Tea Cup of Life. Blown to the shores of foreign lands by the four Winds of Mother Earth and the two Solar Winds of Father Universe. Lost, on this seemingly endless voyage without champions or friends to whom to tell my sailor's tales. Nor, any wretched wild women to lick the briny crusted salts from my blue lips. Neither, do I have land, dry and firm with refreshing spirits, and water to soothe my wet thirst. A sailor with no hammock or bunk space to call my own in this watery realm. A true drifter on the low tides of a sheltered and boring life guided by the gentle Sea Breezes of Time.
