An Impossible Dream

by: Anand Shekhar (anandshekhar@hotmail.com)

An Impossible Dream. She was beauty personified, An aura of splendor surrounded her. She was there and yet absent, Transparent except for her Presence. Her eyes were like an ethereal mist, enchanting, enthralling, magical. So mysterious, so full of intrigue, Blue as the clear sky, like sapphires set in pearls, Her skin as soft as the petal of a flower, As smooth as a tear drop, Fresh as the morning dew. Her long hair, cascaded down, like the black night itself. Her form was of elegance and grace, Her shadow was a tribute to light. She was a divine creation. She laughed, like the soft tinkling of bells, A seductive, beckoning giggle. I reached out to her, but when I tried, She vanished on contact, Disappeared upon touch. For she was an impossible dream. By, Anand Shekhar.
