| A WISH |
Strew on her the flowers, the flowers and the drops of dew- quietly she adorns a happy smile , how i wish i could too. She throws at me a glance, a glance with a soulful hue- Ah!my slumber melts: a mellowed mist for me that's nothing new. My eyes gaze into the heavens , the heavens with pleas a few- a wish ungranted: they seek about, for the divine that hath it slew. The loving heart does bleed , does bleed and pine for her- the drops of red with every beat , only her name do utter. My cheeks are bedewed , are bedewed by the sulky drops- my heart her abode a patient one; waiting till the time it stops. She's away from me I know I know she loves me despite; the body's bound in mortal fetters but who can stall the soul's flight? Up I go and far away, far away in the blinding blues- groping for my estranged love : whom I'd wished i never lose ..
