Where Art Thou, Brave Hero

by: Dina Chowdhury (sapna@ucla.edu)

My actions and acts Turning, driving and confusing me It is just yet unjust Cruel to my friends yet gentle to my foes My mind is bitten by the ants on that tree I weep for the heroes that are gone As death marches by, it blackens the earth The sky is blazing red with the wrath of the heavens The rotten woods crawl and the dying trees struggle I can hear the hooves of Satan coming And whirling devils dancing The oceans clash in their currents Can the heroes prove themselves Are there any heroes Who can keep the heavens from falling And the earth from shattering The peoples tears Have turned to rain Then came the hero by the name of Siddartha In full armor, strength and intelligence His triumph came at a price His life for the people And brave as he, he gave his life His petals fell, and were spun to dust, But his aroma remains forever.
