| "Face" |
A man of small stature Has a shadow twice his size The hate he shows without Can't compare to what's inside His loathing burns inside him Such hate stays undefined It's all he can possibly feel When his love's so undermined He's grown tired of the world They don't know what beauty we hide They only see the outer face They don't care for what's inside He's grown bored with pretty faces There's nothing pretty underneath Can no one provide him With the beauty he seeks? His search continues fruitlessly These faces no longer thrill him The ignorance and arrogance This world holds is about to kill him What hope for the world is left? He can't save the world alone All he wants is someone sensitive To brighten the dark world he knows A world of selfish fools Will surely realize too late That they've based the world on the broken minds Behind a pretty face.
